Arts Council of Midland
Danny Holeva, born in Midland, has been the Executive Director of Arts Council of Midland, a presenting and re-granting organization for nineteen years. ACM has for the past 39 years been enriching lives with the arts through community-wide advocacy, education, outreach, and promotion!
Prior to becoming Executive Director in 2002 of ACM, Holeva held the position of Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at Museum of the Southwest for five years. In addition, he was co-owner of a marketing company founded by his father in 1956 here in Midland for a decade before his work in the museum field. In past years, since 1986, he has been an Adjunct Instructor in Drawing and Design at both Midland College and Odessa College. Holeva also was the Director of the Cardozier Gallery at the University of Texas, Permian Basin where he also taught classes.
Holeva holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech University in Painting and Drawing, with a minor in Art History, as well as a Bachelor of Arts, in Art, from the University of Texas, Permian Basin.
Holeva is a member of the Board of Trustees of Texans for the Arts, the official arts advocacy organization for the state of Texas.
Holeva has been married to Carla since 1988. They have one adult daughter, Emily.
