Katy Poe manages Membership for Texans for the Arts and is involved in all aspects of accounting at Texans for the Arts and Texans for the Arts Foundation.  She has been in the financial and accounting sector for over 15 years, working for such varied organizations as an environmental consulting firm and the IRS.  She had her first experience working with non-profits while serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for First Workers Corp., a 501(c)3.

Katy moved to Texas after 4^th grade and quickly fell in love with the state, and considers herself a true Texan.  From Houston, she moved to Austin in 1990 to attend the University of Texas, where she earned a BA in Studio Art.  As an artist, Katy works mainly in mixed media and illustration.

When she is not working or spending her time being a devoted mother to her son, dog, and cat, Katy loves to go hiking, camping, and work in her garden. She also enjoys volunteering and serving on the board for the parent organization at her son’s school.
