Maddy Lamb is a senior at Southwestern University with a double Bachelors of Arts in both Political Science and Theatre, focused in Stage Management and Costume design, with a minor in Race and Ethnicities Studies. Maddy recently added a Political Science major to continue pursuing a curiosity for law and government. Maddy’s love of the arts started in 7th grade when she was in her first show and was able to do makeup design for the first time. Since then Maddy has been a part of the tech crew on shows ever since. She’s been involved in multiple community theatre productions and has used theatre as a way of meeting new people and spreading awareness. This idea is what drew Maddy to Texans for the Arts. Maddy has seen firsthand what the arts have to offer a community and is excited to be an advocate for the arts in Texas.
