Patrick Long-Quian is an aspiring performing arts administrator who seeks to ensure an accessible future for the arts through several different avenues. He has a passion for arts outreach as he knows the value and impact that the arts can have on an individual's life. Patrick possesses skills in accounting, communications, web development, as well as management and leadership. Patrick holds close to his heart the importance of multi-cultural art forms, as his father is a Cuban immigrant and the preservation of culture through art is something he values greatly. Patrick received a B.A. in Music with a minor in accounting from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Music Business at The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
Where are they now? Patrick Long-Quian recently accepted the Philanthropy Associate position with TFA member Houston Grand Opera, one of the largest, most innovative, and most highly acclaimed opera companies in the United States! In his role he will be providing administrative support to the Senior Director of Philanthropy and the Chief Philanthropy Officer and will support front line fundraisers with administrative tasks. He says Texans for the arts helped him to get his foot in the door since it is well-known across the state, and that the many hats he wore at TFA will help him as he reports to several people across his new department. Congratulations Patrick! |
